Chef Maverick's Holiday Tour - Durham, NC Nov. 22, 2017

Bull City....get ready. You've seen the tantalizing pics on social media time and time again, teasing your taste buds to a point where you can virtually taste it through the screen! Well, it's actually happening!! L.A. based celebrity chef, Chef Maverick, will be bringing her delicious cuisine to Durham, North Carolina for her Southern Holiday Tour!

Chef Maverick is a Los Angeles-based personal chef who has country roots in Atlanta and Tennessee, so she knows her soul food! Although Chef Maverick's experience has allowed her to be well-versed in cuisines from all over the world, embracing their unique herbs and spices, soul food is her heart and it shows in every mouth watering bite.

Having her own sensitivities to certain ingredients, Chef Maverick is very passionate about sharing her ability to create amazing dishes that cater to people with food sensitivities (specifically allergies to gluten, vegetarian, and vegan), and also people who just want to make better food choices...but still want the comfort that grandma's food used to give them. The most common word used to descibed Chef Maverick's food: FIRE!

On 11/22/17 Chef Maverick, along with her talented sous chef Rah (also known as Rachelle Burchette), will be in Durham showcasing her holiday cuisine with her southern friends. If you are wanting BOMB gluten-free or vegetarian food (or regular upon request), or just want to finally try Chef Maverick's food this Thanksgiving, then make sure to pre-order your dishes asap.

Starting November 13th you will have an opportunity to select from a menu of classic holiday favorites like macaroni & cheese and cornbread dressing or desserts like peach cobbler and banana cream cake. These classics will available in gluten free, vegetarian and vegan alternatives, and comes in 2 sizes (small and large).

Pre-ordering will close on the 18th of November and your items will be hot and ready for pick up the day of November 22nd, between the hours of 7 am and 9 pm.

CHEF MAVERICK FEATURED AS FOOD STYLIST ON HOLLYWOOD TODAY LIVE!

Did you see last Friday's episode of Hollywood Today Live? If you did, you probably saw a glimpse of some food styling by Chef Maverick!

The nationally syndicated morning show aired live Friday morning on September 23rd, featuring a new segment, "Ross' Game-Winning Healthy Snacks" with host Ross Mathews. Many of us know him from shows like VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" and Bravo's "Ru Paul's Drag Race". Chef Maverick was brought in to make the food look GOOD for the segment... and she did! 

"Ross' Game-Winning Healthy Snacks" included personal game day recipes for his Guilt-Free Baked Wingless Chicken Bites, Spiked Meatballs and a Sideline Fruit Plate of watermelon, cucumber and jicima inspired by his partner.

Ross's snacks were definitely a hit among his co-hosts Garcelle Beauvais, Amanda Salas and Tanner Thomason.

CHEF MAVERICK COMPETES @ THE M P A C T CULINARY COMPETITION IN LA WITH GUEST CELEBRITY JUDGE REGINA KING

Labor Day weekend, Chef Maverick was invited to be a part of MPACT Events's first Culinary Competition hosted by co-creator Kelli Rasmus in downtown L.A. The competition featured all female contestants brought together by MPACT Events to promote "More Positive Artists Coming Together" (MPACT).

Accompanied by her right hand, Rachelle Burchette, Chef Maverick showed up and showed out. They presented the judges with 3 amazing savory dishes: mushroom & bacon risotto, gluten free shrimp pasta with herb pesto cream sauce, and an amazing coconut curry chicken with rice and peas that had audience members fighting to buy the last plate based on aroma alone!

The event featured 4 judges and celebrity guest judge Regina King and her family, who LOVED Chef Maverick's Curry Chicken.

In the end it was Chef @blackcatculinary from Page Four who won the contest with her kombucha marinated salmon that wowed the judges. Nonetheless, all chefs who participated cooked wonderful dishes and all made an impression!

After the competition ended contestants, judges, and guests celebrated artistry and danced the night away with a live DJ that had the party hype all night long.

The event overall was a huge success. Some of the best up and coming chefs in LA were able to showcase what they got, had a blast participating in a friendly competition, and mingled and networked with each other and guests.

CHEF MAVERICK FEATURED AT THE NEW ESCAPE HOTEL HOLLYWOOD

Newly opened Hollywood attraction Escape Hotel turned former popular Japanese restaurant, Geisha House, into a gigantic maze of escape rooms that make you feel like you just entered a horror movie. 

Prior to opening, owners Kitti Herczeg, Ion Beroiz Lopez and Ivan Leon reached out to Chef Maverick for her expertise in conceptualizing and creating a simple but creative menu for the cafe. The menu includes a selection of 4 delicious sandwiches and 4 unique salads that truly impressed both owners and guests. 

This was not the first time working with the Escape Hotel establishment. A few months prior, Maverick was cast as a model, playing a creepy circus harlequin for their promotional shoot alongside a deadly clown and other carnival characters.

The new Escape Hotel features 11 exciting escape rooms with "American Horror Story" like themes that will surely intrigue your curiosities. Enter if you dare!

CHEF MAVERICK AND HER SOUS CHEF RACHELLE BURCHETTE ON THE R U** TALENTED RADIO SHOW WITH OMAR!

Did you catch Personal Chef Maverick and voice over artist Rachelle Burchette on the radio? They were featured on internet radio show "R**U Talented Radio Show" with host (actor and comedian) Omar Mosely. Chef Maverick talked about an array of subjects from her unique roots in the kitchen, to the origin of her unique name, to her unique fashion sense and persona. She was joined by her partner and sous chef, Rachelle aka Rah, who is also a multi talented artist including voice acting, professional makeup and costume design based in Hollywood. The pair was truly entertaining on air as they are in person! Upset you missed it? Don't worry, you'll hear Chef Maverick on the 1's and 2's again very, very soon.
